--3 WEEKS LATER-- Weeks past its christmas eve.I spent most of my time with Damen.Of course he asked me if i remembered December but i lied.I kept saying no.Jeffery announced the engagement the night we finished decorating the house.Everyone acted like they were happy for us but i knew they hated the idea of Jeffery being their brother-in-law i think even my mom didnt want him being her son-in-law.She called my dad told him the news..Yeah,he wasnt happy either.Now all of them wanted me with Damen..no doubt about that..but part of me was still not willing enough to let Jeffery go.My dad is finally coming home from his buisness trip tonight so he'll make it in time for the party :) Jeffery has been going to meetings at least 5 times a week.Its weird how his boss actually came all the way from Miami to South carolina for a meeting. --The Party-- I put on my black skinny jeans,black ballet flats, a red haulter top.I let my curly hair drape over my shoulder.I walked out of my room down into the living room."You look beautiful,"Damen told me when he saw me.He was wearing light-wash jeans,a long sleeved white shirt, a grey vest.He looked amazing."You dont look to bad yourself,"I told him.He smiled widely.My mom walked in from the kitchen,"Oh honey you look beautiful.Where's Jeffery ?"I looked down,"He...he had another meeting."I looked up saw my mom trying to hide her smile."Oh well Damen will keep you company for the night.Im going to finish cooking."She walked back into the kitchen,leaving me damen alone.Jamie came running into the room,"Dad's home !"she yelled.I ran to the front door saw my dad standing there."Dad!"I ran over hugged him tightly,"Serenity,you look beautiful."he told me as he kissed my forehead.My mom came running in,"Chris(Pine) !"she ran up 2 him kissed him,"Ive missed u so much."He pulled her into his arms held her there while she cried her tears of joy.All of us left the room to give them some privacy but i stayed watched secretly.You could tell they loved each other.Thats the kind of relasionship i want but i dont think ill be able to get it if im with Jeffery. During dinner,the whole family was together ; eating,laughing,telling stories.Thats when Jeffery walked in."Attention Everyone !"he said as he stood up on a chair,"As you already know Me Serenity are engaged. we are getting married on new years day!"he got off the chair smiling.I looked at him wide-eyed.He took my hands in hislooked me dead in the eye,"I know your surprised but i dont want 2 wait anymore.I want to get married to u as soon as possible.And when i told you i was going to a meeting,i was lying,i was really going out to plan the wedding"I looked down at our hands back up at him,"I...i dont kno what to say."He smiled,"You dont have to say anything,"he said as he pulled me into a hug.I looked back at Damen saw that he was just as shocked as i was. After dinner,I excused myself went outside to sit on the porch steps."What are you doing out here?"Damen asked me as he sat next to me.I sighed,"Im just thinking about life"He looked at me,"You know that New Years day is in one week right ?"he asked me in a sad tone.I nodded my head,"Yes,i know..."He looked down at his hands,"Then,i need to tell you something before you marry him."I touched his arm,amking himlook at me,"What is it?"He sood up walked onto the lawn.I followed stood in front of him."Whatever it is just tell me."He looked at me seriously,"Remember when i didnt come visit you at the hospital after you were in the car crash?"he asked me.I nodded my head slowly."yes but u already apologized for that."
